The Fortune 500 technology solutions provider, CDW, zigged when others zagged away from direct mail. Instead they invested heavily in high-end direct mail pieces that stood out from the pack. Extremely targeted mailings to Chief Technology Officers and IT directors yielded great return on investment and reviews. These were incredibly fun projects to tackle, where unique form-factors and printing techniques (varnishes, metallic inks, die-cuts, embossing) were key.
